KGP Legal is delighted to announce that  Mahdev Mohan, Head of Practice (AI & Technology) & Of Counsel, has been appointed to the International Law Association’s (ILA) Committee on Artificial Intelligence & International Law.

His appointment was confirmed by the ILA Headquarters in London at its November 2025 meeting following a nomination by the Singapore Branch. 

Mahdev, formerly Global Product Policy & Legal Standars Head (Emerging Markets) at Google, is one of only two Singaporean representatives selected to serve on this prestigious global committee of jurists, which explores the implications of artificial intelligence on international law.

We congratulate Mahdev on this recognition and look forward to supporting his contributions to the Committee’s work.

The ILA was founded in1873 and (ILA) has 19 committees that focus on various aspects of international law, including public, private, and commercial law. These committees are established to study, clarify, and develop international law.
